CYKLOBURN MILESTONES

June 2018

  • The National Science Foundation (NSF) awards Cykloburn a Small Business Innovation Research Phase I Grant. The grant will allow a full scale working system to be designed and tested.

April 2018

  • Cykloburn Technologies completes transfer of technological details and design parameters from Morgan State University.

  • Management secures agreement from two poultry farms for prototype testing

December 2017

  • Morgan State University signs technology license agreement with  Cykloburn Technologies LLC.

  • MD TEDCO awards Cykloburn Technologies a MII phase 2 convertible note providing funds for placing  prototype Cykloburn systems on farms for testing to validate lab results.

January 2018

  • Cykloburn Technologies wins Maryland Department of Natural Resources grant via the MTECH MIPS program for Morgan State University to develop a poultry house heating system based on Cykloburn Technology.

January 2017

  • Cykloburn Technologies LLC formed to license and commercialize Dr. Lee's invention

March 2016 -

  • Dr. Song Lee completes testing of full scale lab system and secures A.S. Abell Foundation funding to test electrical generation capabilities

February 2016

  • Utility Patent Filed - System and Method for Biomass combustion

June 2015

  • MD TEDCO provides R&D funding for economical clean burn bio-mass combustion system.

  • Morgan State University's Dr. Seong Lee begins construction of full scale lab system to validate his Cykloburn concepts.

Future Goals:

  • Summer 2018 - Field Test prototype Cykloburn system on Delmarva Poultry Farms

  • December 2018 - Lab testing of heating system complete

  • January 2019 - Completion of SBIR phase I project - large scale system built and tested

  • Spring 2019 - Commercial design complete and regional sales commence

Cykloburn is supported by the National Science Foundation, Maryland TEDCO, MTECH MIPS and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources
